Beware: Clinging to the past could stunt your online business growth

Let's chat about a hidden obstacle that may be hindering your business's progress.

Picture this: You've put everything into your online business - from the perfect product lineup to a killer marketing plan.

But, life throws you a curveball, like a family expansion or a sudden market change, and suddenly, you find yourself white knuckling through every business decision because your business no longer suits your life.

So, what happens next?

Do you stubbornly stick to your old business plan, hoping against hope that you'll just be able to adjust? Or, do you bravely (and messily) embrace change, let go of what no longer serves you, and pivot?

Here's a little story. (Pulls up a chair)

Not long ago, I had to make this very choice. I was heavily invested in a different coaching business that I thought was foolproof and in complete alignment with my passion at the time. And then, schools closed intermittently due to the pandemic and, as they say, the bottom fell out.

Schedule? Thrown out the window. Bandwidth? Poof. Gone.

Was it easy to take time to reflect and pivot my business? Nope. But was it worth it? *Nodding Ab-so-freaking-lutely! It was tough, but I realized I needed to make the pivot in order to grow a business in alignment with my life.

I totally get it. Change is daunting. And, that fear of the unknown keeps you awake at night.

But, here's the thing, holding onto the familiar can be even scarier.

Thousands of businesses fail because they resist change - choosing to stick to outdated strategies and offers, only to find themselves lost in running a biz that no longer meets their needs.

But this doesn't have to be your story.

The truth is, change is a part of life. It can be uncomfortable, but often, the cost of resisting it outweighs the benefits of sticking to the status quo.

So, here's your challenge for today:

  • Embrace the power of shifting.

  • Revisit your core values, your business boundaries, and your current offer stack.

    • Do they still align with your goals?

    • Or, are they holding you back?

  • If it's the latter, don't fear the pivot. Trust in your capacity to adapt and evolve. Remember, quitting isn't failing—it's often a crucial step towards success.

So, take that leap of faith. Your future self and your thriving business will thank you for it!
